Sweet Spring Purses

Sweet Spring Purses

Spring, my favorite time of year. I was tickled to find out that the spring colors were some of my favorites. Pastels of purple, pinks and mint greens. I have quite an extensive purse hobby. During my midnight window shopping on my iPad, I came across these adorable and lovely colored spring bags.

1. Tory Burch - Robinson Mini Satchel | This is such a pretty pink! It’s almost a nude color, which means it  will be very versatile to any wardrobe.

2. Reed Krakoff  - ‘Boxer’ Leather Satchel | Such a happy light lime green. It kind of reminds me of a Birkin shape but not too close. The sweet little belt that goes around it makes it look sophisticated. Great for adding color to your early morning commute bag.

3.  ValentinaSatchel | It’s sad that right now this purse is sold out. Although I am determined to find it somewhere threaded inside the web. The light green almost sage color is so pretty. Although it also comes in a few other colors that really compliment the style of bag well.

4.  Marc JacobsClassic Q Baby Aidan | Bowling bag shape, this is a great everyday bag. The color will go with a lot of different outfits and the body strap allows you to swing it over your shoulder or cross body and walk around the city hands free.

5. ASOSPastel Colour Block Bucket Bag | This is a sweet favorite for under $100.  What drew me to this bag was the pretty spring color blocking. All of my favorite colors merged into one bag. Fantastic beach bag or an a quick on the go pick.

6. J. CrewEdie Purse | They have come quite a way with purses. This lovely light purple bag will bring any outfit to life. With such a rare color, this will be a great accessory to jeans or any pastel outfit.

Buying Nude | Via Spiga

Buying Nude | Via Spiga

Finding nude heels is a challenge. It’s not because their hard to find. It’s because their hard to find for each individual girl. Nude heels come in all types of heights and color. Buying the wrong color nude heel can either make or break your outfit. It it doesn’t fit closely with your skin color, you’ll actually look more mismatched and lose the point of wearing nude heels. The tricky part is that if you have very light pinkish skin like mine you’re going to have to go for more of a very light brown color. Wearing a more pink color nude heel will look odd and make your skin look more pink. Stay away. I found these Via Spiga heels size 8 1/2 and fell in love with them instantly.  It’s a perfect height, I love the Mary Jane type straps and the rounded toes. Via Spiga has a very classic feel to their heels with timeless shapes. Since the heels are are a bit higher the straps help to keep the foot in the shoe. It makes it feel very secure, they are extremely comfortable and so far I  haven’t felt any blisters.

When wearing nude heels, I’d suggest wearing a pair of flats to work and not wear them for commuting. They will show scuffs quickly and they are visible. Invest in a nice pair of nude heels that fit your skin color, but take care of them. These are great office and dinner shoes. But I wouldn’t suggest these on long commutes or for going out shopping in the city. Plus, like all high heels, they will become uncomfortable if you’re on your feet all day.

Every girl should own a pair of nude heels. It’s like owning that black tank top that comes to use on so many occasions. This is a classic staple in fashion and should be in every wardrobe. You’ll be surprised at what you can wear with these shoes. Basically everything goes, from little black dresses to jeans with blazers.

I love bows, and bows on everything. Here is as tiny collaboration of some fashion with bows on them are lovely and tasteful. Also, check out that incredible bow hair! I wasn’t able to find the source, but regardless it’s great inspiration.  You don’t have to be a little girl to get away with wearing bows.

Meet my friend! Srsly.

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Liz through Twitter in the end of 2011. She’s a talented web and graphic designer, with an excellent taste in fashion. Her blog is delightful and every post has a quality that  you don’t see often. I really admire the way she is able to draw people in and also her eye for graphic and interior design.
Liz is someone you should follow and subscribe to, especially if you are a lady who loves fashion + design. She’s a beautiful mix of both and this is someone you do not want to miss out on! She has also been a great friend to me. Her beauty goes so much farther than skin deep.
