SF Giants Perfect Game

SF Giants Perfect Game

The 27-year-old right hander becomes the 22nd player in major league history to accomplish the feat in a 10-0 victory over the Houston Astros. – Los Angeles Times

All that I can say what an incredible game! Plus, the corn dogs and hot chocolate were pretty delicious. But seriously, a perfect game!? I wish I could explain how awesome it was to be apart of that. People were crying, laughing, screaming, hugging strangers. I think everyone that was there seriously had their year made by being there. I am so happy I got to be apart of history with my awesome and wonderful friends. It really couldn’t have been more of a perfect night.

Watch to the end of the video, the older man is so precious. He’s tearing up and you can just tell that, that was one of the best moments in his life.

Ghost Nest – Amazing Freelance Gig!

I  had the great opportunity to design 12 pieces for a SF theme cabinet knob collection for Ghost Nest. I was contacted over a month ago to design the set and I immediately took the project. It was a great freelance opportunity and something that was not apart of my day to day design routine. Reid Evans (CEO) was such a pleasure to work with and gave me so much freedom with the designs. I really felt like I had more freedom than any other client I have ever had. It’s so rare to land a project like that.

I took a lot of inspiration from spending time in the city myself and also played around with lots of different colors. This project was a great outlet for myself to experiment and be a little bit out of my element. I certainly felt really challenged at first, but after awhile It became a lot easier to design.

I also designed the wooden Golden Gate Bridge display. Reid came up with the concept and also cut it out with a laser cutter. It’s a really pretty display! These knobs will be sold in select stores in San Francisco including Cole Hardware. You can also purchase them on Ghost Nests website.

This is a great startup and the people are really great to work with. I strongly suggest supporting a startup with a lot of potential like this one. It’s great to work with people who have creative goals and mindsets. I would do another collection with them in a heart beat! I could tell Reid really had everything put together the moment I started corresponding with him. It’s people like these that  are gems. Thank you for the great opportunity Reid and  hope to continue these fun projects together in the future!

Hey you, yes you! Go get some designs! ;)

Wharf Delight

The weather was gorgeous today. Not warm but pretty with the sun. I took a quick trip down to the end of the Wharf, since it’s not that many blocks away from my apartment. Yet I still took a bus because it was so cold and windy. The wharf was beautiful, many runners and tourists were out taking photos and children were playing in the water. One little girl got completely drenched by a wave. She screamed and seemed like she was going to cry then started laughing. It reminded me of what how free and awesome it is to be a kid. Even when you get soaked by a wave children still laugh after the shock. I think that even as adults when something unexpected and unpleasant happens to us, we have to find a way to laugh through it.

I am still learning all the ways of photography, since there is so much to learn. Half my shots were blurry due to me not focusing well and not holding my arms closer to my body. It’s a huge learning curve, but the process its a lot of fun. I am so used to using a medium like Photoshop and Illustrator to create something. So using a camera to create photos is a challenge and almost therapeutic for me.
